Summertime

Our summer has been filled with so many good memories. Lots of firsts as we begin the new chapter in our lives as a family. I can't believe Rachel is 3 months old already. We started the summer with Rachel's baby showers, one with my Aunts and Grandma and another with more family and great friends. My sister Krista gave me a surprise gift of bringing my good friend Erin all the way from Halifax to meet Rachel, which was very exciting. We then went on our first family holiday to Abbotsford to see all of Ryan's family and our friends. Rachel's great Oma and Opa were very happy to meet their first great grandchild. We went just the three of us on a little mini holiday to Stanley Park, Vancouver and to Whistler for a few days. When we returned home to Edmonton my Opa was visiting from Holland and was excited to meet his sixth great grandchild. We also had a great family weekend at my parents lake lot where Rachel sat head of the table for the big BBQ dinner. Rachel loved camping...I loved it too because she slept very well!

Still waiting...

This is me at 39 weeks, only 1 week to go. The top picture is at the Citadel Theatre; Ryan and I went out for dinner and to see "Oliver" the musical as our last night out before the baby comes.

Waiting for Baby Timmermans

We are patiently waiting for our little boy or girl to come. In the green shirt I was 30 weeks, in the pink I was 34 weeks....only 6 weeks to go! We just got our new family vehicle, a 2005 Ford Escape.

TASMANIA February 2007

I was very lucky to win a VIP all expenses paid trip to Tasmania, Australia. I went with 9 of my fellow travel agents from Travel CUTS and The Adventure Travel Company (including Kent from Edmonton in the first picture); which meant I had to leave Ryan behind, but I was happy to take one last trip before becoming a mommy. We hiked, mountain biked, visited Tasmanian devils, went on a ghost tour, visited the Boag's Beer brewery and had a lot of fun together.

BAHAMAS

We celebrated New Year's 2007 in the Bahamas. Our friends Erin and Mark had their wedding on the beautiful beach of Treasure Cay. Junkanoo is the festival the locals have on New Year's Day.
